Join America’s concrete pipe industry in celebration August 20 to 26
National Concrete Pipe Week will be observed from August 20 – 26, as the nation formally recognizes the vital importance of reinforced concrete pipe and precast concrete products to the health, safety and well-being of our citizens. The contributions of thousands of workers, hundreds of manufacturing plants and other industries that support concrete pipe producers – from truckers to sand and stone suppliers, cement producers to contractors and engineers – will likewise be acknowledged during this week-long celebration.
This is designed to educate communities and their leaders on the importance of our nation’s infrastructure and its concrete pipe and precast manufacturers. Join us, as we declare the significance of reinforced concrete pipe and precast to the quality of life and affirms the contributions of concrete pipe and precast industry to every state.

Mountain States Concrete Pipe had their first plant tour Aug. 29, as part of the 2017 Mountain States Concrete Pipe Week. Our vendors included Holcim, D&L Supply, Mel Marshall Company, and Davis Wire. We had approximately 75 engineers and inspectors show up to the Geneva Pipe Salt Lake plant.
During Unified Training last fall, MSCPA was impressed with the autogenous healing demonstration at the Rinker plant. Each of our plants have performed the same experiment and demonstration for this year’s Concrete Pipe Week events. Today was the first time we have shown it, and the attendees were amazed at how quickly the cracks healed. For most, this was their first exposure to autogenous healing, so it was a very powerful discussion tool. I’m positive each of the other plants will have similar results.
