Twenty-eight students with experience ranging from 2 weeks to multiple decades took part in last month’s ACPA Quality School in Maddison, WI.

Students learned all about concrete pipe and precast products with fifteen topics presented by five industry leaders from across the country over a three day period. Students learned about materials, mix design, reinforcement, consolidation, curing, product testing, repairs, concrete technology, important calculations, and more.

This group studied hard and completed a timed, closed book, test. We now have 28 more ACPA Quality School Certified QC techs, managers, production personnel, and those just looking to learn more about the industry they work in. Congratulations group!

ACPA Quality Schools are held up to four times a year in locations around the country, if interested in attending you can contact the American Concrete Pipe Association for details.

This is a demonstration of the comparative flammability of polypropylene pipe (PP), reinforced concrete pipe (RCP), and high density polyethylene pipe (HDPE). Dry hay is ignited in three 18 in. by 18 in. pipes and allowed to burn. This is an unedited test conducted on October 21, 2015.
