A 142-inch diameter tunnel to accommodate a 90-inch diameter PVC-lined reinforced concrete pipe sanitary sewer in the upstream portion of the Joint Outfall “C” Unit 1 Relief Trunk Sewer1 in Los Angeles County, California was required because the existing 72-inch diameter JO “C’ Unit 1 Trunk Sewer has become hydraulically overloaded.
