The annual Subcommittee on Construction meeting is taking place this week in Cincinnati, Ohio.  Total attendance is 230 people with representation from 43 state DOT’s, the District of Columbia, several FHWA and AASHTO personnel, AGC, various consulting firms, and industry representation from the concrete pipe and industry and the plastic industry.  The SOC meeting runs from the opening reception on Sunday evening until the closing business dinner on Thursday evening.  It is a packed week of meetings and networking opportunities.  On Monday evening the Ohio DOT hosted the attendees to the Cincinnati Reds Hall of Fame and dinner at the Ballpark.  It was a fun filled evening with a visit from Mr. Redlegs as shown in some of the pictures.

On Tuesday evening the ACPA and supporting State Associations were pleased to sponsor an evening Riverboat cruise and dinner.  Some of the attendees were even allowed to drive the boat and sound the horn (which jolted everybody on board).  It was a great evening for catching up with old friends and building new relationships.

On Wednesday evening ACPA staff and members in attendance took a large group representing 20 DOT’s to dinner.  It has become an annual appreciation dinner for our fine friends within the many DOT’s.
